His follow-up, Sunny Side Up, debuted at number one on the UK Album Chart. Both albums have been certified as a platinum quintet by the UK recording industry. Five years later, Nutini released their third studio album, Caustic Love, in April 2014. The album received positive reviews from music critics. Caustic Love debuted at number one on the UK Album Chart and was certified platinum by BPI in June 2014. While Nutini has not officially addressed the issue, he has taken a break. Active since 2017. Among other accolades, Nutini received three nominations for the BRIT Awards and one Nomination for the Ivor Novello Prize for composition. In July 2014, he was dubbed the BBC 'arguably Scotland's greatest musician today'.
